Northeast New Jersey Legal Services (NNJLS) provides free legal representation to eligible low-income, disabled, and senior residents of Bergen, Hudson and Passaic Counties. Every year thousands of local residents who have legal problems and cannot afford an attorney come to NNJLS for help with housing, consumer, family, public benefits, and immigration problems. NNJLS Victims of Domestic Violence Representation Project
Northeast New Jersey Legal Services helps hundreds of victims of domestic violence each year through its Domestic Violence Representation Project. Our attorneys provide free legal representation and advice to obtain protective orders and address related legal issues, such as child custody, child support, spousal support, and retention of the home. Victim safety is of utmost concern, and NNJLS has protocols in place to ensure the confidentiality of clients’ identities and contact information. Northeast New Jersey Legal Services’ Veterans Assistance Project provides legal representation and advice to low-income and homeless veterans in order to remove legal barriers to housing, employment and self-sufficiency.
