NNJLS’s Community Outreach and Engagement Manager, Laura Arriaza, was interviewed by My9 News Network to talk about our program, and share her personal experience after being impacted by a disaster in 2021. Laura discusses the effect that Hurricane Ida had on her family’s home, as well as Northeast NJ Legal Services’ Disaster Assistance Project funded through a grant by the Legal Services Corporation, which enables NNJLS to provide high quality legal assistance to survivors of natural disasters and storms like Ida.
